Call for Speakers: 2018 Trends in Lighting

April 26, 2018

Taking place September 25-27 in Bregenz, Austria, the second annual Trends in Lighting (TiL) is looking for inspiring, compelling and thought provoking speakers to share their thoughts on topics such as smart cities and buildings, connectivity, miniaturization, embedded lighting, LiFi, security, and more. Deadline for abstracts: April 30.

TiL aims to be the “incubator in light” for ideas, processing, optimizations and applications of lighting technologies. Last year’s event drew 1800 delegates who joined experts from Philips Lighting, Osram, Zumtobel Group, Zaha Hadid Architects, Amazon, and other corporate and design leaders.

This year’s event will be curated by Rogier van der Heide, former Vice President and Chief Design Officer of Philips Lighting and Chief Design & Marketing Officer of Zumtobel.

The program features four learning tracks:

  • Lighting Heart & Soul — light for better living, light for health, light at work, light and sleep, light and mood
  • The Right to Create — design process, rapid prototyping, light and business, value with light
  • Humanizing Tech — user experiences, usability, holistic experience of light
  • Beyond Illumination — connected light, IoT, software and light, integrating light in large technology ecosystems
