While there is a great deal of talk about sustainability, almost nobody is addressing the final stage of LED sustainability: end-of-life.

The Department of Energy, seven-plus states, and 147 countries are banning fluorescent sales. Once again, the lighting industry is jumping forward with new technology for the sake of energy-efficiency and long life without a clear plan for end-of-life. Millions of LED exit signs, lamps, and luminaires are headed towards landfills. Jeff will explore lessons learned from the past, progress being made, and possible solutions for the future. This presentation will include updates from previous presentations and his article in LD&A.
