Wharton Sales Celebrates 40-Years in Business

LDS Wharton 400

Sept 14, 2020

WSC Lighting Systems (Wharton Sales Company Ltd.) is celebrating a milestone of 40 years in business.

The agency was started in 1980 by Dennis and Linda Wharton. They began as the representative for York Lighting which then became Lithonia Lighting in 1989. In 2007 as Dennis and Linda (semi) retired, their sons Steve and Scott Wharton purchased the agency. This family-run business has grown to a team of 25 – including 2 employees hired during the pandemic! They now represent 60+ manufacturers, offering a range of lighting supplies and solutions out of their 6,600 square foot facility in London.

Constant changes in lighting technology – as well as the pandemic – have provided a lot of challenges, but Wharton Sales has proven that with great leadership and adaptation to the market you can be successful. The Whartons and their team look forward to many more years of business in the future. Congratulations!
