Hagersville Library: Lighting Upgrade Provides Excellent Glare Control, Enhanced Visual Comfort for Reading, Collaboration & Community Use

The newly opened Hagersville Library + Active Living Centre brings together community, learning, and wellness within a flexible, multi-use environment. The facility includes a 3,900-sf library, 2,000 sf atrium, 840 sf program room, and a 4,855 sf multi-functional rental space designed to support a wide range of activities.

Axis Lighting’s Zen series was selected to deliver clean, comfortable illumination throughout the space. Featuring SurroundLite optics, Zen provides soft, evenly diffused light with excellent glare control, enhancing visual comfort for reading, collaboration, and community use.

With a variety of mounting options, the system integrates seamlessly across different ceiling conditions while maintaining a consistent, modern aesthetic. Its high-performance output and efficient design contribute to a well-balanced lighting solution that supports both functionality and architectural intent.

Product Highlight

Zen Pendant – Linear

Zen’s patented inverted “U” form provides soft, comfortable LED lighting. It emits more downward luminance from the top than from the sides. The Zen pendant version uses SurroundLite optics to open up the space by delivering ample, glare-free downlighting and reflected light throughout.
