MD2-3461 – Medical LED Luminaire: Ambient/Exam Light for Hospitals, Nursing Homes & Other Patient Care Facilities
The MD2-3461 series by Certolux is an IC-rated specification-grade, LED luminaire which provides a cost-effective patient room lighting solution. Designed as a combination Ambient/Exam light for hospitals, nursing homes and other patient care facilities. Eliminates the need for wall mounted luminaires. The flexibility of the nominal 2’ x 4’ singular modular installation makes this an excellent ceiling-mount fixture. For use in insulated ceilings.
Features
Housing
- Precision formed, code gauge cold rolled steel.
- Wiring access plate or knockouts are provided on back of housing, for flexible conduit attachment.
- Separated knockouts for line and low voltage connections.
- A gasketed wire access plate option is also available for easier installation.
Doorframe
- Secured by screws and a hidden cable hinges.
- See option D10 for a single-piece 16 ga. aluminum doorframe that is IP65 certified.
- Extruded anodized aluminum door holds a clear acrylic flat lens that is gasketed to the door and housing to maintain cleanliness.
Mounting
- Surface Mount – Four 0.312” diameter holes provided.
- Grid Mount – Holes provided for chain mounting support to building structure and comes with integral earthquake clips.
- Flange Mount – Yoke mounting bracket (see product ordering key).
LED
- LED board arrays offered in various color temperatures and lumen packages.
- Optional Green LED arrays available on separate circuit (consult ordering key).
Lens
- The exam compartment is shielded by a frosted linear prismatic acrylic lens.
- The ambient compartment shield is a rounded low profile extruded frost acrylic lens.
Finish
- The luminaire is a powder painted white matte finish and offers a high reflectivity coating for improved lighting efficiency and performance.
- Antimicrobial finish is optionally available.
Electrical
- Long life LEDs coupled with high efficiency drivers provide quality illumination.
- Rated to deliver an L80 performance >50,000 hours.
- The standard driver has a THD of <10%. Standard low voltage dimming (0-10v, 1%).
- All electrical components are CSA and UL approved.
