The Luminaires Group Acquires Luminis

The Luminaires Group Acquires Luminis

December 5, 2016

Luminis, a Montreal-based manufacturer of indoor and outdoor specification grade LED lighting solutions, will operate as a standalone division of The Luminaires Group (TLG), maintain its operations in Montreal, and continue to be managed by Nicolas Cohen, current President and a founding member of Luminis.

“We will continue to focus on our national and regional partners and customers in the commercial and institutional markets. Luminis, as the other divisions of TLG, will maintain their separate agent networks and distribution channels to ensure that customers continue to receive the attention and service they’ve come to expect,” says Cohen.

Focused on design and function, the Luminis product complements the TLG portfolio of award-winning brands.

“The Luminaires Group acquisition of Luminis reinforces our commitment for strategic growth and innovation as we bring yet another established brand into The Luminaires Group’s family,” says Christian B. Fabi, President of TLG. “TLG is growing to become one of the largest privately held lighting groups in North America, comprising niche brands focused on design, innovation and function. This acquisition represents the next logical step in our corporate progression,” says Fabi.

“As part of The Luminaires Group team, Luminis will benefit from the strengths of a dynamic team that shares the same core values of innovation, performance and quality. TLG and Luminis have each developed a reputation for outstanding products supported by impeccable customer service, and this acquisition will ensure more innovative solutions for years to come.”
