FLOS Introduces Noctambule by Konstantin Grcic

LDS Flos NOCTAMBULE 400

May 21, 2019

Noctambule, a striking new design by Konstantin Grcic for FLOS, comes alive with the flip of a switch. Made up of hand-blown glass cylinders, the transparent fixture is almost invisible to behold when unlit. Named after the French word for “night owl”, it appears to lie dormant until it magically illuminates, thanks to the hidden LED technology tucked into its design.

A single clear cylinder forms the basis of the fixture. Acting as a lantern, this piece can be displayed as is. But this option is only one of many available through FLOS. In fact, Noctambule is offered as a statement-making floor lamp, pendant, or chandelier. The addition of a hand-blown glass dome or a cone-shaped head enhances the offering, transforming Noctambule into either an uplight or a downlight.
