The Westin Pool in Calgary: Natatorium Lighting Done Right – Prolux Lighting Project Highlight

Lighting natatorium environments requires fixtures that can withstand humidity, chemicals, and demanding conditions, without compromising the architectural design of the space. For this project, the team specified the LumenWerx VIA2 Seal above the pool with a natatorium finish, designed specifically for high-moisture environments. Traditional natatorium fixtures are often large and bulky to ensure durability, but the VIA2 Seal offered a more refined solution.
With its small aperture and clean profile, the fixture could be integrated directly into the wood ceiling, allowing it to visually disappear while still delivering the rugged performance required for the space. To maintain a consistent lighting language throughout the facility, the standard LumenWerx VIA2 was also used in the adjacent fitness area.
This lighting project at The Westin Pool in Calgary is a great example of how the right fixture selection can balance performance, longevity, and architectural aesthetics in challenging environments.
