Atrius® Receives Sustainability Leadership Award from Business Intelligence Group

September 7, 2023

Recently, the Business Intelligence Group named Atrius®, part of Acuity Brands, Inc., as a Sustainability Leadership Award winner in the 2023 Sustainability Awards program.

The Sustainability Awards honor those people, teams and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a company leading the way for sustainable business, by providing technology that can help any organization make significant progress in their sustainability programs,” said Chelsea Davis, Product Manager, Atrius®, Acuity Brands. “By removing some of the biggest pain points sustainability professionals face today, our customers are able to commit to ambitious environmental commitments such as reaching Net Zero emissions within the next two to three decades. We’re proud to help create these success stories and hope they inspire more companies to follow their lead.”

Buildings are major contributors to the world’s carbon footprint and are responsible for as much as 40% of global emissions, a figure that could double by 2050. The product was selected as a sustainability leader for its Atrius Sustainability and Atrius Energy solutions, which are used by Fortune 500 companies, airports, college campuses and beyond to optimize their buildings’ performance and reduce emissions. Sustainability professionals that use these solutions are able to reliably automate their sustainability reporting and transition away from using spreadsheets to calculate and verify their emissions. With more time and resources freed up, these teams are better equipped to help their organizations dive into bigger, more impactful sustainability projects.

This award joins six other honors that Atrius and its product line have received in the last 12 months. The product was included in the Airport Technology Excellence Awards & Rankings report this year, which recognizes companies supporting airports’ sustainability measures, business expansion and more. Atrius Sustainability and Energy have also been recently honored as leading products by Environment + Energy Leader, Juniper Research and ESG Investing.

“We are proud to reward and recognize Atrius for their sustainability efforts,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Nominations Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “It was clear to our judges that their vision and strategy will continue to deliver results toward a cleaner, more sustainable world. Congratulations!”
