Standard’s 2017 Donation Day Raises $75,740

January 10, 2018

During Standard’s 2017 Standard Donation Day in December, the company collected $75,740 to donate to various charities.

Standard has been actively involved in various national and regional community organizations through Donation Day since 1999. It all started when one of Standard’s employees was diagnosed with breast cancer. We wanted to show our support by making a donation to support Cancer research and, from there it grew bigger and became Donation Day. Since 2004, Standard has given more than $500,000.

Each Standard Donation Day, a percentage of sales are remitted to several causes close to Standard’s heart such as hospitals, children’s charities, health related research, as well as organizations that support the less fortunate, the homeless and family support groups, etc.

This year, Standard’s office employees also wanted to participate by supporting Donation Day. Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chains, Sales and Quality Control Department supported the Distribution Centre team to get the orders picked and packed and out the door.
