New Cybersecurity Standard and Method of Compliance Added to NLC5 Requirements

LDS DLC NLC5 Update

Jan 6, 2022

The DLC is pleased to announce two additions to the NLC5 Technical Requirements, effective December 22, 2021.

1. The DLC now recognizes the PSA-Certified cybersecurity standard with Chip Level 2 or 3 certification and with System Level 1, 2, or 3, and Device Level 1, 2, or 3 certification. This certification may now be used to meet the NLC5 cybersecurity requirement.

2. The DLC now recognizes accredited certifications from an organization accredited as “Management Systems Certification Bodies” by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) as valid proof of compliance with the ISO 27001 cybersecurity standard.

These additions are detailed in the NLC5 Technical Requirements, available on the DLC website here. If you have any questions about the additions to the NLC5 Technical Requirements, please reach out to info@designlights.org.
