Flux Lighting’s Mara Klammrodt and Lightenco’s Steve Hubbard are among the 2017 recipients of an Ottawa 40 Under 40 business award.

Mara Klammrodt is Flux Lighting’s Vice President Sales & Marketing. The firm specializes in lighting for industrial and commercial spaces, and recently celebrated its 15th anniversary (http://fluxlighting.ca).

Steve Hubbard is Director, Sales & Business Development, for Lightenco (Lighting Enhancement Corporation), a team of lighting designers and do-gooders working to help businesses reduce their lighting costs with enhanced lighting systems (http://lightenco.com).

The awards are co-hosted by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa Business Journal. Recipients were assessed on a 40-point system, with a maximum of 20 points for business accomplishments, 10 points for professional expertise and 10 points for community involvement.

“The level of talent in Ottawa is second to none, as these awards once again demonstrate,” says chamber president and CEO Ian Faris. “The entrepreneurial spirit of this year’s recipients is sure to pay major dividends for our region in terms of continued economic growth and prosperity.” All winners will be celebrated at a gala on June 16.
