Lunera Line Driven 20,000 Lumen LED Replaces 400-Watt HID Lamps

Lunera Line Driven

Lunera’s third generation family of high intensity discharge (HID) LED lamps includes the world’s first line driven HID LED lamp to replace traditional 400W metal halide (MH) or high pressure sodium (HPS) lamps that deliver 20,000 fixture lumens.

The new lamps, in 20,000, 15,000, 9,000 and 4,5000 lumen packages, are designed to deliver exceptional energy savings, access to rebates, installation convenience, and high value in warehouses, factory floors, parking garages, auditoriums and other large public gathering spaces such as airport terminals.

The Lunera HID LED lamps deliver up to 20,000 lumens with over an 80 colour rendering index (CRI) and are available in colour temperatures from 3500K to 5000K. The lamps can be ordered for line driven (120V-277V) installation, making them eligible for utility rebates or ballast driven (plug-and-play) for installation convenience and do not trigger building code requirements.

Lamp power consumption is reduced up to 67% depending on the equivalent lamp power and lumens to be replaced. For example, at 4,500 lumens a 175W HID lamp will be replaced by a 58W Lunera HID LED lamp.

For installation flexibility, the lamps can be ordered with either an E39 Mogul or E26 Medium base. They ship standard with an opaque optical lens but have optional clear and Fresnel lens kits.

Additionally, the E26 Medium lamp is also available with a short neck to fit smaller surface mount fixtures.

The Lunera HID LED is designed to be robust in harsh industrial environments with enhanced surge protection up to 7kV and thermal management up to 150°F. It is warranted for 5 years and has over a 50,000-hour life expectancy.

To eliminate the potential for “snap back” and ensure persistence of use, Lunera offers the E39 Mogul HID LED Vertical Retrofit Kit. This kit bypasses the installed fixture ballast and hardwires the lamp directly to 120V-277V line voltage, safely securing it to the fixture.
