Case Study: Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) with Salex SW

February 6, 2024

wfcu, Windsor Family Credit Union, Case Study
Since 1940, WFCU Credit Union is a prominent and forward-thinking financial institution based in Windsor and Essex County.

For over 80 years, WFCU has been dedicated to serving Ontario residents, community, organizations, small businesses, commercial entities, and public institutions. Their new headquarters in Kitchener was created as they continue to grow their business.

Salex worked with DFY Studio and DEI Engineering to transform this new office space. It was important to have higher quality lighting products as a reflection of the company’s overall approach. Using Canadian manufactured brands was also important to both the company and designer. The ceiling heights made it challenging as coordination was needed across all parties to ensure the ceiling height did not hinder the overall design.

The Axis StencilFlex was used in the open seating areas to add a unique design element. The Elite FPR Cylinders are featured in the kitchen in different lengths and facing different directions for a dynamic look and feel. The Axis Beam 2 is used over office cubicles and work spaces.

Lastly, the Axis Stencil Forms were used in the elevator lobby. The triangle shapes come together to create a visually appealing entrance. Overall the WFCU office space achieves a cohesive ambiance through its simple and sleek yet, fun lighting selections.
