Lighting plays a bigger role in the guest experience than most people realize. It sets the mood the moment someone walks through the door, affects how comfortable a room feels, and even influences how guests perceive cleanliness, safety, and quality.  Done well, lighting helps create the kind of space that feels familiar and welcoming – a true home away from home. In fact, many of the same essential lighting rules apply to hospitality spaces as to homes! For many hotel owners and operators, lighting is also one of the most overlooked opportunities for improvement, often because of outdated perceptions about LED technology. While early LED lighting earned a reputation for being overly bright or cold, today’s LED solutions – like those by Philips and Signify – are a very different story. Modern LEDs offer warm, inviting light, precise control, and significant efficiency gains, making them well suited to the unique demands of hotels and other hospitality spaces.
