Luminis Wins 2 Good Design® Awards with Scena and Bellevue Luminaire Families

Luminis® (www.luminis.com), an established innovator and manufacturer of specification-grade, interior and exterior lighting solutions, today announced its Bellevue and Scena luminaire families have each won a GOOD DESIGN® Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

The Good Design Award

Each year, The Chicago Athenaeum presents the GOOD DESIGN® Awards Program for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced worldwide. GOOD DESIGN® is an international symbol of a company’s commitment to innovation and superior design embodiment. This year marks the 75th anniversary of GOOD DESIGN®, making it the oldest and most prestigious global awards program. An international jury of distinguished design experts across multiple disciplines judges submissions. Bellevue and Scena were both recognized in the Lighting category.

Bellevue

Bellevue is a versatile family of columns, bollards, and wall mounted luminaires, giving landscape architects and designers the latitude to bring lighting performance to where it’s needed while unifying a project’s overall look. The simple and clean design of the Bellevue family can provide all levels of street and pedestrian lighting needs with high-performance optics such as aimable spotlights, sharp-cutoff quiet optics, or a full range of glare-controlled roadway solutions. All versions of Bellevue are available with 2700K to 4000K static white, or true amber for marine wildlife applications.

Scena

Scena is a complete family of exterior wall and ceiling surface-mount fixtures and bollards designed to accentuate beauty while withstanding the rigors of urban and public spaces. The crisp lines and elegant surface details of Scena are captured in both a round and square shape. Both are available in 8.5-inch and 11-inch formats, with a diffused or direct light engine. All Scena fixtures are IP65-rated and IK10 resistant.
