Lithonia Lighting CFMK Surface Mount Brackets recalled due to Injury Hazard

This recall involves metal CFMK H-brackets that are screwed into the ceiling and used to surface mount CPANL LED fixtures. The CFMK bracket was included as an optional mounting accessory with 1×4, 2×4 and 2×2 CPANLs.

Hazard identified

The CFMK bracket can fail to securely surface mount the CPANL LED fixture and allow the fixture to fall unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury.

As of August 13, 2020, the company has received 2 reports of failing brackets in Canada, and no reports of injury. In the United States, the company has received 22 reports of failing brackets, and 1 report of minor injury.
