Nyx Hemera Technologies Celebrates 10th Anniversary

May 7, 2018

Nyx Hemera Technologies began operations in 2008 when Pierre Longtin, the company’s founder, developed the Tunnel Lighting Addressable Control System (TLACS) based on powerline communications.

The TLACS has drastically optimized tunnel operations and reduced energy consumption, and slashed tunnel lighting life cycle costs for tunnel operators all around the world. After commissioning over 50 tunnels on the five continents, the TLACS is now considered one the most technologically advanced, effective and reliable tunnel lighting control solution available on the market. The business is growing and is preparing for development in larger premises.

Actively involved in the different internationally renowned technical committees, such as the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association, World Road Association and Illuminating Engineering Society, Nyx Hemera’s team has built a solid and proven expertise in tunnel lighting. The team is also now participating in developing the IES-RP-22 and CIE-088’s tunnel lighting recommendations and standards.
