Philips Lighting Appoints New Commercial Director

Dan Scott

Dan Scott succeeds Duncan Chamberlain, who now oversees the consumer lighting business. In his new role, Scott is responsible for the commercial operations of the Philips Lighting trade business. He also has to ensure and maintain relationships with key wholesalers and specialist lighting distributors.

Working closely with the marketing and sales teams as well as wholesalers and contractors, he will be identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to further drive LED adoption, ensuring that Philips is the leading choice for LED.

Scott joined Philips Lighting in 2010 to manage the UK OEM organisation. In 2012 he became the commercial director for office, industry and healthcare, where he was responsible for the business strategy and sales management of these sectors.

Prior to joining Philips, Dan held a variety of sales, marketing and management roles with a number of international organizations. With over 15 years of experience, he combines a strong sales and marketing background with extensive lighting knowledge.
