Meet the CMS SSA Ceiling Mount Sensor from SensorSwitch

The newest addition to the wireless SensorSwitch AIR product line is the CMS SSA Wireless Ceiling Mount Sensor. This sensor is field-installable and the ideal choice for both retrofit and new construction projects in indoor commercial spaces. Powered by the PP5 SSA Power Pack (sold separately) it offers a simple solution for adding dimming capabilities to existing luminaires. Designed to work primarily with 0-10V sink luminaires, this sensor is a versatile addition to your lighting control system.

Overview

The CMS SSA family by SensorSwitch is a wireless ceiling/surface mount occupancy sensor that provides a range of solutions for applications with finished ceilings (e.g., ceiling tiles, sheetrock, plaster). The CMS SSA family utilizes digital Passive Infrared (PIR) detection and is available with two lens options, offering flexibility for various mounting heights and coverage pattern requirements. Dual-technology occupancy detection can also be added as an option for applications where occupants remain stationary for long periods.

All sensors feature integrated on/off photocells, with standard automatic daylight harvesting and dimming control. The CMS SSA family sensors are powered by the PP5 SSA supply and typically communicate with one or more SensorSwitch AIR devices in a group

Features

  • Seamless dimming: Enable 0-10V dimming capabilities in existing luminaires when combined with the PP5 Power Pack (sold separately), simplifying upgrades and minimizing installation time.
  • Time-saving setup: Simplify installation with app-free pairing directly from the wall switch or on a different branch circuit, saving time and effort.
  • Passive Dual Technology: Combines two detection methods for superior accuracy and reliability. It ensures precise occupancy detection, minimizes false offs, and has different sensors to capture both large or small motion—making it ideal for commercial spaces where dependable lighting control is critical.
  • For Your Projects: Best choice for large motion detection (e.g. walking) and small motion (e.g. hand movements) detection.
  • Hassle-free maintenance: Enjoy hassle-free operation with no need for batteries, enhancing convenience and reliability.
  • Works with Any 0-10V Luminaire: Easily adapts to existing 0-10V sink luminaires, and Acuity Brands luminaires, making it an excellent choice for retrofits and unplanned renovations.
