Women in Lighting + Design (WILD) Announces 2024 Board of Directors

January 3, 2024

Alessa Aguayo, LC, WELL AP begins her 2-year term as our new board President! We’re excited to see her vision for WILD take shape.

Kelly Roberts, Principal at Primary Arc Design, transitions from President to serving as Past-President. We’re grateful for her endless efforts leading the charge. Her commitment and leadership have taken Women in Lighting + Design to new heights!

I am thrilled to see Alessa Aguayo, begin her term as President of Women in Lighting + Design. She is going to be an incredible leader for the organization, bringing a fresh vision and new energy. As Past-President, I am excited to continue serving under her direction and am looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things she will accomplish.

It has been an extraordinary honor to serve as the inaugural President for WILD. To be able to follow in the footsteps of so many women before me, and to help create something that will live on to impact countless women after me. To work with all the amazing WILD volunteers creating communities in their areas, and to help drive change on the global level across the industry. The women of WILD are absolutely inspiring, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to be part of this movement.

Whenever I was tired, speaking to someone at the next WILD event would keep me going. At every.single.event I would hear how someone they met through WILD helped them find a job, or gave them the courage to ask for a raise, or stood by them when dealing with hardship. WILD is about the people, it is about the community we have made together, and the friendships we are building.

If you are still reading this (and thanks for that if you are), I want to thank you for being part of my community, for the enormous support I have received, and for supporting this incredible organization
