Fluxwerx Files Patent Infringement Action Against OKT China and OKT USA

April 3, 2019

Vancouver-based Fluxwerx, which designs and manufactures high-performance LED luminaires for commercial and institutional spaces, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Texas against Shenzhen OKT Lighting Co., Ltd. and OKT Lighting USA, LLC.

As reported in Edison Report edisonreport.com/fluxwerx-files-patent-infringement-action-against-okt-china-and-okt-usa/, Fluxwerx asserts that OKT’s LED linear pendant lighting fixtures are knock-offs of Fluxwerx’ “View” line of lighting products and infringe on United States Patent D747,539. The lawsuit seeks injunctive relief against OKT’s future importation and sales, and monetary damages for OKT’s past importation and sales in the United States.

“Fluxwerx invests heavily in the design and development of innovative, high-performance lighting solutions,” says Reuben Bartlett, General Manager of Fluxwerx. “We take the protection of our intellectual property very seriously and will not tolerate those who shortcut our investment and sacrifice. Fluxwerx will vigorously enforce its patents in the Courts whenever necessary to stop infringement of its valuable rights, ensuring the future growth of Fluxwerx and our specifiers and agency partners.”

Founded in 2011, Fluxwerx makes innovative, high-performance, LED luminaires for the general lighting of commercial and institutional spaces, such as office, education and healthcare. Fluxwerx’ distinctive product offering and proprietary Anidolic optics technology offer substantial energy savings, lighting quality, and remarkable lifetime. The company became part of Lumenpulse Group in 2016.
