Azure Magazine Names Lambert & Fils’ “Laurent” Fixture one of 2016’s 10 Best Products

January 6, 2016

Azure, an award-winning magazine with a focus on contemporary architecture and design, has recognized Laurent by Montreal’s Lambert & Fils studio as a one of the best products in any category for 2016.

Founded in 2010, this boutique lighting studio is making a name for itself with lithe, angular lamps wrought in black and gold. With the Laurent collection, says Azure magazine, its predominantly Bauhaus aesthetic takes on a more contemporary tilt. Round-edged polygons in green and blue suspend, separate, and wrap around hand-blown bulbs in a celestial interplay of two and three dimensions. An embellishment-free play on space and form, these locally sourced and locally crafted pendants put Lambert & Fils at the top of the game.

The Montreal-based lighting design studio was founded in 2010 by Samuel Lambert. Its original and custom lamps for residential and commercial settings take cues from mid-century Modernism, the Industrial Age, and Lambert’s own minimalist aesthetic. Find out more: www.lambertetfils.com.

Since Azure’s launch in 1985, it has earned a global reputation for excellence. Its international perspective and multidisciplinary coverage, which puts architecture, interiors, products, landscapes and urbanism together in a real-world scenario, make it distinct from any other publication available on newsstands.
