IES Emerging Professionals Organize International Year of Light Photo Contest

Enlighten

As part of International Year of Light activities, the Emerging Professionals Group within the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) has launched a photo competition geared toward IES members who are students and emerging professionals. Running through the end of July 2015, each month a different photo theme will be announced.

Participants are asked to post their images via either one of two social media platforms — Twitter or Instagram — or by email (iesnaep@gmail.com). Photos must coordinate within the given month’s theme to be eligible for consideration. All photos must include the following hashtags: #IYL2015, #IESNA, #enLIGHTen, #PhotoContest, and #themeofthemonth (see below for the April theme.) Winners will be announced on August 15, 2015, and the top three entries will be selected by a group of lighting industry professional for the grand prize, three sponsorships for three young designers to attend the 2015 IES Annual Conference.

April photo theme: #APRILSHOWERS. Share lighting-inspired photos addressing the subjects of #water and #light on @Twitter or @Instagram with the following hashtags: #IYL2015, #IESNA, #PHOTOCONTEST, and #APRILSHOWERS. Find out more: https://www.flickr.com/groups/enlighten/.
