CSA Group Unveils Bangalore Ingress Protection and LED Testing Facility

Bangalore India

CSA Group has launched an ingress protection (IP) test and LED laboratory in Bangalore, India. The facility was inaugurated within premises of the CSA India laboratory, which has been operating for a year.

The automated state-of-the-art Ingress Protection test laboratory has been designed to help Indian and global manufacturers with environmental testing, compliance and certification services for a range of products against rain and dust. With this facility, manufacturers can now test their products to see if they are suitably protected to sustain ingress of solid foreign objects and liquids and conform to the stipulated requirements of global safety standards.

“Asia is a key growth market area for CSA Group and of high strategic importance. I am proud to announce that we have an aggressive growth strategy in place to further expand our business in India. ” Magali Depras, Chief Operating Officer, CSA Group joined the opening and stated, “We are dedicated to expanding our business in the Indian market. We have a great team and a growth business strategy in place to expand into areas such as Automotive, Hazardous Locations and Sustainable Energy to provide broader services and support Indian and Asian companies striving for expansion and further success in this increasingly global market.”
Commenting on the launch, Saibal Mukhopadhaya, CSA Group Country Manager, India, stated, “This is a significant occasion for us as we launch the IP test lab and LED facility here in Bangalore. We have completed over a year of operations in India and this facility is a testimony to our commitment to provide world-class testing and certification services to manufactures. Today, there is a significant demand for LED lighting products due to a growing awareness around green energy and energy savings. As a result, manufacturers are increasingly seeking testing and certification services that will help their products gain access in the global market place. The CSA India LED test laboratory is fully equipped to test the necessary requirements of safety standards, and we are confident of becoming a one stop solution for all relevant compliance requirements of manufacturers.”

The new lab will offer Ingress Protection testing services for large enclosures and help manufacturers achieve certifications in minimum lead times, enabling them to serve significant volumes of samples. In addition to this, the facility will also be staffed with qualified engineers who have been trained on the latest technologies and test requirements and have had the opportunity to work on live projects with global technical advisors.
