New Keystone Mistik Wall Washers Are RGBW Lighting Made Easy

April 10, 2023

Adding wall-washing color to buildings and landscapes has never been so simple.

The new Keystone Mistik DMX Linear Wall Washer combines the beauty and range of RGBW light with the simplicity of the company’s SmartLoop wireless lighting system to create easy-to-use, flexible, and vibrant specialty lighting. It allows everyone to bring the full spectrum of colors to any exterior.

“RGBW wall washing has traditionally been the province of expensive and complex systems challenging to program and costly to maintain,” says Cody Chambers, Director of Sales–Sign Channel. “With Mistik, high-quality RGBW is now both affordable and intuitive.”

The key, says Chambers, is the connection with Keystone’s SmartLoop wireless control system. SmartLoop works with the simplicity and security of Bluetooth mesh, providing reliable connections, and its downloadable app makes Mistik a snap to commission and program.

“It’s a plug-and-play system,” says Chambers. “All you have to do is power up the light bar and pull up the app. You select your color on the intuitive dial and lock in the adjustable saturation and brightness. Use the app to create transitions and program entire scenes. When you’re done with your plan you can send the QR code to the end user and they can modify the system as needed.”

Each SmartLoop controller enables the connected light bars to output a single color per fixture. You can connect up to 40 fixtures in a series on one controller with simple weatherproof plug connections. Add more SmartLoop controllers to add more colors. And with available mounting brackets and rotatable hinges, you can aim Mistik in any direction with simple adjustments.

The ultra-slim Mistik is IP66 rated to handle the elements, and it easily blends into the existing landscape or building. It comes in a 2-foot, 12W model and a 4-foot, 24W model. Multiple accessories are available.

Mistik is fully DMX512 and RDM compliant, too. If you’re using your existing DMX solution, simply use the Keystone DMX connection cord. Each fixture is an addressable channel in DMX.

The upshot? Finally, there’s an RGBW fixture for everyone.

“At Keystone, we take our slogan ‘Light Made Easy’ seriously,” says Josh Brown, EVP Marketing and Distributor Sales. “Mistik is the latest expression of that philosophy.”
