Standard Recessed Fixtures

Dec 17 2015

Standards’s recessed fixtures provide unobtrusive general lighting for residential and commercial applications. Their varieties of trim suit all applications and decor. These recessed fixture housings are made of industrial-strength galvanized steel and tightly fitted to prevent noise and/or vibration from the fixture. They come equipped with a socket, a junction box, “wire to wire” connectors, and a built-in thermal protection.

Remodeler type housings
Remodeler types are designed for retrofit applications, are available in 3”, 4”, low and line voltage and insulated ceiling (IC) versions. The low voltage version is equipped with a magnetic transformer (12 V) placed near the housing for easy access.
The remodeler IC is designed for retrofit applications where the ceiling is insulated. It is made of aluminum and is available in 4 ¼”, line voltage. This IC rated housing can be converted to an airtight rated housing by covering the mounting screws openings with the metal tape strips provided with the housing.
The outdoor soffit type is designed for outdoor soffit applications and is made of aluminum. It is available in black, brown, white and clay. It can also be used indoor.

New construction type housings
New construction types are designed for open ceiling applications without insulation. Their hanger bars are adjustable from 13” (32 cm) to 26” (66 cm) and are equipped with a built-in spike for securing onto joists as well as a self-levelling feature. The low voltage version is equipped with a magnetic transformer (12 V) placed near the housing can for easy access.
The new construction IC version is designed for open ceiling applications where the ceiling is insulated. It is ideal for high energy efficient construction as the box is completely sealed.
