Lumenwerx have proudly announced their Audia acoustic luminaire has earned the highly coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020.

“We are grateful to the Red Dot Award jury for honoring our innovation in lighting engineering and sound absorption technology,” said Morris Feldman, CEO of Lumenwerx. “Audia was designed with illumination excellence in mind and is capable of up to 30% more sound reduction than traditional acoustic luminaires.’’

Audia incorporates our own patent-pending EchoCore™ technology, which is based on the Helmholtz resonance principles. Composed of 75% recycled content, Audia’s EchoCore™ emits zero VOCs, and is breathable, flame retardant, and mold resistant.

“EchoCore™ represents a real shift forward in discrete sound-dampening technology,” affirmed Michael Simla, CTO of Lumenwerx. “We wanted to create something the industry had never seen before—a luminaire that was easy to clean, had intelligent options for color spectrum tuning in tunable white, dim-to-warm, RGBW, and BIOS LED, and also had excellent efficacy and performance.”

With fully integrated controls and multiple lighting options, Audia not only offers design solutions for any space where acoustics control is needed, but it also establishes a new standard in architectural acoustic lighting.
