NX Distributed Intelligence Elevated to DesignLights Consortium Networked Lighting Controls V4.0 Qualified Products List

March 17, 2020

Hubbell Control Solutions announced NX Distributed Intelligence is now DesignLights Consortium (“DLC”) V4.0 Qualified and listed in Qualified Products List (“QPL”) for both interior and exterior environments.

The Networked Lighting Controls QPL is a list of networked lighting control systems that meet annually updated performance and efficiency specifications. The list is designed to facilitate the widespread adoption of the technology by equipping utilities to optimize energy savings and integrate control systems into their incentive programs. The QPL is also a tool for architects, specifiers, engineers and contractors to evaluate and compare control systems for their projects and programs.

NX Distributed Intelligence supports both interior and exterior environments and in several application categories – room based wired, in-fixture wired and wireless.

Projects across the United States and Canada that include NX Distributed Intelligence are now eligible for significant rebates with local utilities and energy efficiency programs. In many cases these projects that reference compliant solutions on the DLC QPL qualify for the highest level of rebates available and an increasing number of commercial project RFP’s are mandating the use of QPL products. About 80 percent of rebate programs in the U.S. qualify products using the DLC’s Qualified Products List.

The DLC’s Networked Lighting Controls QPL identifies systems that are eligible for utility rebates and incentives by meeting minimum DLC Technical Requirements. Containing 22 categories of both required and reported system capabilities, the QPL also serves as a product comparison tool for architects, specifiers, engineers, and contractors. Key required capabilities include individual fixture control using a true networked control system, reconfigurable zoning, scheduling, daylight harvesting, and motion sensing.
