Two Canadian Cities Participating in IALD Chase the Dark 2017

October 23, 2017

Vancouver and Toronto have joined IALD’s “Chase the Dark,” an annual international lighting movement that tasks participants to photograph and share displays of light via social media during a 24-hour period as the sun sets westward across the globe. The results capture the creativity and diversity of the lighting design profession.

The November 3 event is open to members and non-members. This year’s lighting concept will involve playing with the very versatile EL wire, a battery powered and multi-coloured electroluminescent wire. Use it to fix to street furniture, industrial objects, bicycles, or even yourselves, then show your creations on social media by tagging your photos and videos #IALDChaseDark.

Interested in attending or want more information about a local event? Contact your local region or chapter coordinator for more information: https://iald.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5fd74c78ad9cc956a9a0ffdd&id=648afbc1ab&e=3d024604f6

Can’t join at an official event? Pick up your own EL wire from Amazon or another online retailer, and join in the fun from any location by uploading your photos to social media using #IALDChaseDark.
