IES Welcomes New Director of Development

Shayna Bramley will lead and manage all IES actions and promotions involving development, marketing, and communications. She is also responsible for implementing strategies to bridge education, standards, research, and membership.

Shayna graduated from Penn State University with dual Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering with a Lighting/Electrical emphasis. Shayna is also a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received her Master’s degree in Business Administration.

In addition to Shayna’s formal degrees, she also has accumulated numerous lighting industry credentials including Professional Engineer-Power (PE), Lighting Certified Designer (LC) from the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals (NCQLP), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) & Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), NXT Level I Certification from Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), and a few others.

Shayna has been a lifelong member of IES since college, where she served as PSU Chapter President. Over the years she has worked as an Electrical Engineer, Lighting Manufacturer’s Sales Rep, owned her own lighting and electrical design firm and taught as an in-person Educator for several large lighting and lighting control manufacturers. More recently, Shayna created iQ Education, LLC, which specialized in online education, digital marketing, and learning management systems for the lighting and electrical industry. Her company quickly grew to over 2000+ online learners, and she sold it to a large utility consulting firm focusing on lighting education in 2017.
