Luminis’ Aramis AR170 Named in the 2018 IES Progress Report

September 10, 2018

Montreal-based Luminis’ Aramis AR170 pendant has been selected for inclusion in the 2018 IES Progress Report, an annual publication dedicated to recognizing significant contributions to the lighting industry.

The Aramis AR170, one of a range of products in the broader Aramis family, is a high power cylindrical pendant LED luminaire that combines a clean design aesthetic with high light output for use in interior applications such as shopping malls, retail stores, convention centres, sports centres and transportation terminals.

Like all products in the Aramis family, the Aramis AR170 features a precisely engineered passive convection design, which extends lifetime, optimizes efficiency and achieves 50% greater output than its predecessors — all in a beautifully integrated design. The Aramis AR170 delivers up to 18,000 lumens from a 6” diameter cylinder.

“With Aramis AR170 we’ve pushed the technology further to deliver a new level of outstanding quality,” says Nicolas Cohen, president of Luminis. “It is very rewarding to see the product recognized in such a way, and it validates our commitment to continuous innovation in product development.”

Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry. Accepted submittals will be recognized at the Annual Conference in August 2018, as well as be posted on the IES website and published in LD+A magazine.

Luminis designs and manufactures specification grade interior and exterior lighting for a wide range of applications including parks, campuses, urban and commercial developments, offices, retail stores and schools. Throughout its 30-year history, the company has invested heavily in research and development to produce innovative products that integrate style and technology to deliver high efficiency, performance and durability. The company’s products have been recognized with a catalogue of innovation awards, including PIAs, ADEX and IIDEX
