Lighting Analysts announced their software Photometric Power Tools has been selected for the IES Progress Report for 2019. The IES Progress Report is awarded to products recognized as a “unique and significant advancement to the art and science of lighting” according to the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).

Photometric Power Tools was specifically invented to solve the problem of data maintenance due to the rapidly changing LED product cycle. Shorter and easier edit operations allow manufacturers to keep up with changes in technology that must be reflected by their public-facing photometric data files. Positive editing also avoids mistakes and misunderstandings with respect to the photometric file format.

Photometric Power Tools can open folders full of IES files, clone them, factor the candela, and watts, change keywords and perform general edits in batch mode. “It’s so simple, what used to take an engineer several hours can now be done in minutes!” says David Speer, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development.
