Cyclone Lighting: Valenza Luminaire

August 19, 2024

Cyclone Lighting had recently announced that it has released its unique V-shaped Valenza luminaire. Valenza’s sleek, minimalist aesthetic houses cutting-edge optics that meet municipal requirements.

Valenza’s straight geometric lines are offset and softened by organically inspired rounded edges. Seen from the side, its slender, subtle silhouette virtually disappears, belying the quality and strength of its illumination. Viewed head-on, the assertive V shape makes a strong impression, with a look that can  help modernize urban settings.

A 45-LED board is designed for ambient illumination for parks, pathways, or urban squares. A 90-LED board is intended for areas where superior performance is required, such as bike paths, roads, commercial courtyards, university and corporate campuses, transit space, or parking lots. Valenza offers a range of packages from 2,400 to 20,000 delivered lumens. All luminaire options are dark sky friendly.

The luminaire’s light engine, known for its superior performance and durability, is equipped with fully sealed, optically engineered, injection-molded acrylic lenses with an IP66 rating for superior performance and durability. Valenza luminaires are offered with more than thirteen distribution types, including symmetrical, asymmetrical, and crosswalk options. House shield and backward optics options are also available for added flexibility, creating a customized light source that optimizes illumination management.

The backward optics option introduces an additional layer of versatility. It allows Valenza’s precision optics to be adjusted in 90° increments, facilitating the combination of two distribution types within a single light engine. Landscape architects and city engineers can illuminate a road and an adjacent sidewalk or bike path using just one luminaire. This contributes to enhanced lighting and cost savings. Standard color temperatures of 3000K and 4000K cater to a wide range of lighting requirements.

Valenza luminaires may be selected in a range of standard and complementary colors; custom RAL matches are also offered to optimize the luminaire’s impact in a space. Smooth and textured finishes are available.
