Hèmèra Announces Acquistion by Industry Professionals François Renaud, Matthew Curatolo & Nicolas Cohen

Hèmèra has announced that it has been acquired by industry professionals François Renaud, Matthew Curatolo, and Nicolas Cohen. This acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Hèmèra, as the new leadership team is poised to build on the company’s legacy of delivering innovative, high-performance lighting solutions to discerning customers.

The new leadership team brings a wealth of experience, with each assuming key roles that will continue to drive the company’s growth and success. For more than two decades, François, Matthew, and Nicolas have been deeply involved with the design, development, manufacturing and distribution of award-winning luminaires. Cyclone Lighting is pleased to announce its Valenza luminaire has received a 2025 Red Dot Design Award for Product Design. Valenza’s straight geometric lines are offset and softened by organically inspired rounded edges. Seen from the side, its slender, subtle silhouette virtually disappears, belying the quality and strength of its illumination. Viewed head-on, the assertive V shape makes a strong impression, with a look that modernizes urban settings. The luminaire’s light engine, known for its excellent performance and durability, is equipped with fully sealed, optically engineered, injection-molded acrylic lenses with an IP66 rating for enhanced performance and durability. Valenza luminaires are offered with more than thirteen distribution types, including symmetrical, asymmetrical, and crosswalk options. House shield and backward optics options are also available for added flexibility, creating a customized light source that optimizes illumination management.
