IES Calgary: Technical Luncheon on Connected Lighting and IoT

February 1, 2018

On February 28, Hubbell Canada Specification Sales Manager Drazen Jerkovic will share his expertise and insights on connected lighting.

Drazen has spent his entire career focused exclusively on lighting and lighting controls products and their applications. As one of the early members of the team at Douglas Lighting Controls, he has seen the industry change from relay panels to addressable lighting controls. Drazen has also worked for Hubbell Lighting where he gained knowledge in lighting as the industry changes to solid state lighting sources. He is now the Specification Sales Manager, Eaton’s Lighting Systems and Solution division, representing the largest controls product offering by any single manufacturer.

By attending this session, participans will be able to identify opportunities for connected lighting.

  1. What is connected lighting
  2. Why would i want connected lighting
  3. Current technologies — wired, wireless, addressable and low voltage lighting systems.

Lumenpulse: A Look at the Past & Future of LED Binning

In the lighting industry, the act of “binning” of LEDs is the process of sorting LEDs by certain characteristics, such as colour, voltage, and brightness. The ANSI standard C78.377-2017 provides the dimensions and coordinates of the bins that are currently used to standardize the colour points of all white light LEDs. These dimensions are calculated… Read More…
