Leviton Acquires Berk-Tek

October 1, 2020

Leviton recently announced that it completed its acquisition of Berk-Tek, a U.S. manufacturer of fibre-optic and copper network cabling. The acquisition solidifies Leviton as a single-source manufacturer of end-to-end systems — including connectivity and cable — for customers in Canada and around the world.

“Berk-Tek is a highly respected North American cabling company with exceptional manufacturing and product development capabilities,” said Daryoush Larizadeh, president and chief operating officer of Leviton. “By adding Berk-Tek to the Leviton family, we provide truly end-to-end system solutions to our customers, with full integration across engineering, manufacturing, and network expertise.”

“Leviton and Berk-Tek have a long history of delivering high performance cabling systems in Canada and the United States through our strategic alliance,” said Jason Prevost, vice president of sales distribution for Leviton Canada. “Customers in Canada now receive the benefit of an enhanced and expanded copper and fibre-optic structured cabling offering from a single manufacturer, and Leviton’s dedicated Canadian sales force has all the tools needed to offer an even greater level of service and support.”

Berk-Tek, LLC is now a subsidiary of Leviton Manufacturing Co, Inc, reporting to the Network Solutions Business Unit. Customers in Canada requesting Leviton or Berk-Tek cables should contact the Leviton Pointe Claire location or their local salesperson for any questions or opportunities.

As a unified brand, Leviton Network Solutions provides a more consistent interface, clearer communication about products and creates an even smoother customer experience.
