Call for Speakers: IES 2017 Annual Conference

March 8, 2017

Authors of papers related to the art, science and practice of illumination are invited to submit abstracts for papers and posters to be considered for presentation in either a paper or poster session at the 2017 IES Annual Conference, to be held in Portland, OR August 10-12, 2017.

The theme of this year’s conference is “My Light,” bringing focus to the impact of light on our personal health and well-being. Submissions on all lighting topics are encouraged and will be considered.

The procedure for accepting papers and posters related to both research and application will involve a review of extended abstracts. Abstracts can be up to 2 pages (maximum 800 words). Acceptance decisions will be based on the potential technical quality, originality, impact, and relevance to the conference audience.

Papers that have been recently published and would benefit from dissemination to conference attendees through a formal conference presentation or poster are also encouraged. Paper abstracts are due May 1, 2017; poster abstracts, May 22.
