Lighting LEDsIn a recent article on LEDs, we covered numerous topics and questions to help consumers buy the right bulb for their needs and be happy with their purchase. But LEDs are not only for residential use. In fact, some of the first applications/uses of LEDs (after indicator lights) were for exit signs, traffic lights, taillights, and refrigerated case lights. 

LightingWhen the Government of Canada contemplated developing a co-working concept, they chose Orleans, a suburb of Ottawa, for its pilot project. The intent was to open a convenient and comfortable co-working office space closer-to-home than their current downtown location.

Control SystemBuilding a control system for a modern lighting installation can seem like an impossibly complex task. To simplify it, a systematic approach to understanding the needs of the design, facility, and user can be employed. LIT Lighting Design AwardsThe LIT Lighting Design Awards was created to recognize the efforts of talented international lighting product designers and lighting implementers. The organization believes lighting is both an art and a science, and that it is one of the most important elements of design.   LIT was envisioned to celebrate creativity and innovation in the fields of lighting products and applications.

LIT Jury board members evaluated all submissions from 43 countries, based not only on the highest of current lighting design standards and trends but also seeking out truly visionary designers showcasing creativity and innovation.
