April 18 IES Toronto Technical Luncheon: OFF is the New ON — Challenging the Assumptions of Lighting Energy Consumption

Presenter Kimberly R. Mercier, Principal, Lighting Design Innovations, will share thought leader opinions about the future of lighting technologies and controls, pilot project occupant survey findings that will inform approach to future lighting designs, and suggestions for challenging the lighting energy assumptions of your design teams and project managers.

Kim was the third female president in the 110-year history of the Illuminating Engineering Society, and the youngest person to ever serve the society in that role. When she is not working on projects, Kim travels the world to experience places and cultures that inform her next designs and enjoys playing and experiencing music.

Kim has earned two IES Presidential Awards for her volunteer service to the Society, received the Society’s Distinguished Service Award, and was inducted into the Pembroke Central School Alumni Hall of Fame. Lighting Design Innovations has received awards and accolades for their designs that improve the lit environment.
